Dr KK Aggarwal, Former President of Indian Medical Association, Succumbs to COVID-19

Padma Shri Dr KK Aggarwal, past national president of the Indian Medical Association and a renowned name in the medical fraternity, passed away last night after a long battle with COVID-19. He was admitted at Delhis AIIMS hospital for the past few days.

Dr Aggarwal, 62, succumbed to the illness at 11.30 pm on Monday. He was a renowned cardiologist, head of the Heart Care Foundation of India and was serving as the President of the Confederation of Medical Associations in Asia and Oceania (CMAAO). He was awarded the Padma Shri and Dr B C Roy National Award for his distinguished service.

He had dedicated his life to the welfare of the public and raising health awareness. Even during the COVID-19 pandemic, he made constant efforts to educate the masses and reached out to more than 100 million people through his videos and educational programs and saved countless lives.

An avid believer and follower of the quote “The Show Must Go On”, he wanted his life to be celebrated and not mourned.
