The United States has reached a milestone in the fight against COVID-19 as 60% of its adult population has received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, stated the director of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

Over 3.5 million people between 12 and 17 years of age have received their first dose of a vaccine, said Dr. Rochelle Walensky. White House COVID-19 Response Team senior adviser, Dr. Marcella Nunez-Smith, said that more people of color are getting inoculated.
