A US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention advisory group noted that some teenagers and young adults who were administered COVID-19 vaccines developed heart inflammation. The advisory group has thus recommended further evaluation of the rare condition. 

The CDC’s advisory committee on immunization practices stated that it had assessed the reports that some of the young vaccine recipients, predominantly male, developed myocarditis. According to the CDC group, the condition usually resolves without any complications and can be caused by several viruses.
