South Korea on Wednesday announced that masks will not be required outdoors from July for people who have been vaccinated with at least one dose of COVID-19 vaccine.

The move comes as an attempt to encourage older individuals to get vaccinated as the country aims to vaccinate at least 70% of its population by September, which stands at a mere 7.7% at present. Prime Minister Kim Boo-kyum said that people who have received at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine will also be allowed to gather in larger numbers from June.
