Zydus Cadila has applied for regulatory approval to conduct clinical trials of an antibody cocktail for the treatment of mild COVID-19.

The treatment candidate, named ZRC-3308, has been found to decrease lung damage in animal trials, noted the company, stating that the candidate was safe and well-tolerated. The therapy involves a combination of two monoclonal antibodies. The company has sought approval to conduct early-to late-stage human clinical trials from the Drugs Controller General of India.
