WHO supports people trying to quit tobacco to decrease their risk of severe COVID-19

The Commit to Quit’ tobacco campaign of the World Health Organization has made resources from its Quitting Toolkit available to over one billion tobacco users within 5 months of onset of the year-long campaign.

The campaign was started to support the tobacco users who are taking steps to save their lives, but still need support to succeed. The campaign is currently working with 29 countries, all of which have agreed with WHO on activities, such as running national awareness campaigns, launching new digital tools, revisiting policies, engaging the youth, training healthcare workers, starting new cessation clinics, supporting nicotine replacement therapies, starting national toll-free quit lines, making quitting courses available, and much more...
