Today is World No Tobacco Day

Tobacco use is accountable for 8 million deaths each year. As the news came out that smokers had increased odds of developing severe disease with COVID-19 compared to those who do not smoke, it prompted millions of smokers to want to quit tobacco. 

Quitting tobacco can be a challenge, particularly in the presence of the additional social and economic stress that has come with the pandemic. About 60% of the 1.3 billion tobacco users across the globe have expressed the desire to quit; however, just 30% of them have access to the tools that can help them to be able to do so.
