Indian doctors have claimed that the new COVID variant is causing deafness and disruption in people, unlike the old virus strain. The country was worst hit by a new variant known as B1617.2 or “Delta” in the spring, which had infected millions of people and overcrowded almost all hospitals.

Scientists are saying that the variant seems to be the most infectious one and medical workforces also suggest that it might be more dangerous.

Some people in India have said that an increasing number of people are suffering from deafness and destruction because of blood clots along with the typical Covid symptoms.

The UK’s director of health had warned that the mutant strain of coronavirus seems to be at higher risk of getting admitted to the hospital than the earlier predominant Kent strain. British doctors have not yet reported disruption or deafness, even though there are tens of thousands of mutant cases.

It is very rare as millions are infected in a very short period of time and are only found in India till now, or are infected with COVID and are not caused by any variants suggesting to people that it could have happened by accident.

Due to the concerns about the rate of spread of the mutant coronavirus and the potential for reduced vaccine efficacy, together they are putting pressure on Boris Johnson to delay the lockdown till the end of the 21st June.

The B1617.2 “Delta” variant has been considered as the most rapidly spreading mutant strain since it was discovered in India earlier in this year. Now, doctors say they are likely to be more harmful.

One doctor said that the appearance of new symptoms of the virus after more than a year shows how unpredictable the virus was. There were no clear signs that the first mutants which worried scientists, were the Brazilian and South African mutants, can cause symptoms different from other strains.

Along with the typical symptoms like loss of appetite, diarrhea, stomach pain and joint pain, few people have developed destruction and deafness.

India is slowly getting out of the second wave of disastrous coronavirus, asover 350,000 people per day were positive during peak times.

At present, the positive response rate in India is almost similar to the UK, but the real number is higher because of the population of more than 1 billion.
