South Korea’s Celltrion Inc has stated that Phase 3 global clinical trials have shown positive results for its experimental antibody treatment for COVID-19, which was found to be safe and decreased the treatment period by around five days.

The trials included 1,315 participants in 13 countries, including South Korea, the United States, Spain and Romania, and have taken place since January. The treatment slowed severe symptoms in over 70% of patients, including the high-risk patients with underlying conditions. The treatment was also found to reducethe recovery period by 4.9 days.
