Headache, runny nose tied to Delta variant

According to researchers, headache, sore throat and runny nose seem to be the most commonly reported symptoms tied to COVID infection in the UK.

Prof Tim Spector, running the Zoe COVID Symptom study, suggests that catching an infection with the Delta variant can feel more like a bad cold for younger individuals. While according to the NHS, the classic COVID symptoms that people should look out for include cough, fever and loss of smell or taste, Prof Spector says that these seem to be less common now, based on the data the Zoe team has aggregated from thousands of people who have logged their symptoms on an app. The change seems to be associated with the rise in the Delta variant, first detected in India, which now accounts for 90% of COVID-19 cases in the UK… (BBC, June 14, 2021)
