If a doctor is writing articles about diseases and treatments in lay press on matters of public health, it is permissible under MCI Act 7.11.

Lesson: A doctor is not allowed to contribute articles to the lay press and give interviews regarding diseases and treatments which may have the effect of advertising himself or soliciting practices. However, he can write to the lay press on matters of public health, hygienic living and can give public lectures, give talks on the radio/TV/internet chat for the same purpose and send announcements of the same to lay press.
