The U.S. Food and Drug Administration is going to add a warning about rare cases of heart inflammation among adolescents and young adults to the fact sheets for the mRNA COVID-19 vaccines developed by Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna.

U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) advisory groups have noted that the inflammation in adolescents and young adults is possibly tied to the vaccines; however, they say that the benefits of the vaccines outweigh the risk.
