The Central Government has warned that the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic is not yet over in the country, and stated that 75 districts in the country still have more than 10% prevalence of COVID-19 cases, while 92 districts have a 5-10% prevalence.

The Union Health Ministry stated that data suggest that the active COVID-19 cases in India have dropped by over 83%. There has also been a consistent rise in COVID-19 recovery rate since May 3, which stands at 96.7% at present. Joint Secretary of MoHFWLav Aggarwal said that the virus has not gone anywhere and we should not make the mistakes that allow an increase in the cases. 

The daily positivity rate across the country currently stands at 2.98%, and the daily recoveries have outnumbered the daily new cases for 43 days in a row… (NDTV – ANI, June 26, 2021)
