It is More likely to have Bell's Palsy after COVID-19 Infection than post-vaccination

People with COVID-19 infection had a greater likelihood of developing Bells palsy compared to those who were vaccinated against the virus, indicates an analysis of medical records.

Akina Tamaki, of University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center, and co-authors, stated that on matching COVID-19 patients with vaccinated individuals, it was found that those with COVID-19 had around seven fold higher likelihood of having a diagnosis of Bells palsy compared to the individuals who were vaccinated (OR 6.8, P<0.001). The findings have been published in a research letter in JAMA Otolaryngology-Head & Neck Surgery.

Additionally, a case-control study published in the journal also stated that there seems to be no link between recent vaccination with the Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine and a risk of facial nerve palsy… (Medpage Today)
