The more contagious Delta variant has spread to almost every state in the US and may soon become the dominant coronavirus strain in the country, stated the director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. 

With half of the US population still not fully vaccinated, a resurgence of COVID-19 cases is feared in the fall. Officials in Los Angeles County have reintroduced mask guidance for public indoor spaces, irrespective of people’s vaccination status, considering the rate at which the Delta variant has spread.
