Dr Sahajan and Prasad Singh, National President-elect of IMA, has called upon doctors to adopt villages for ensuring 100% vaccination by 31st December, 2021. 

Dr Ajay Kumar, working president, Bihar IMA, said that the president-elect appealed to all doctors, who are either associated with the IMA or not, for adopting villages to ensure complete vaccination. He added that the association will felicitate the doctors who will ensure complete immunization in the villages they adopt.

According to official figures, there are 6,34,321 villages in India and 45,077 villages in Bihar. The IMA has over 5 lakh members country-wide, with 11,000 doctors in Bihar alone, as well thousands of doctors who are not IMA-members.

He further said that the doctors should jointly come forward to adopt the villages for vaccination and set an example of social responsibility worldwide.
