Most people in Britain want COVID-19 restrictions to remain, suggests poll

Two thirds of individuals in Britain think that at least some COVID-19 restrictions should persist after July 19 when Prime Minister Boris Johnson intends to lift them in England, revealed an opinion poll.

Around 66% of people participating in the poll by Kantar Public wanted some, most or all of the restrictions to stay in place. About 60% believed that everyone should continue wearing face masks in shops and on public transport. Britain’s PM has said that people should use their judgement regarding whether to wear masks post July 19.
