Israel’s President, Isaac Herzog, received a third dose of a COVID-19 vaccine, kick starting a drive to administer booster doses to people above 60 years of age in an attempt to slow down the spread of the highly transmissible Delta variant.

The President, aged 60, received a booster dose of the Pfizer/BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine and stated that he was proud to start the booster vaccination initiative. His wife also received a jab.
