Kerala records 22,040 coronavirus cases, 117 deaths in 24 hours

On Thursday, Kerala recorded 22,040 fresh COVID-19 infections and 117 deaths, with the total case count standing at 34.93 lakh and the death toll rising to 17,328.

Overall, 20,046 individuals recovered over the last 24 hours, with the positivity rate in the state standing at 13.49%. The number of active cases is 1,77,924. At present, 4,81,157 individuals are under surveillance in different districts of the state, of which, 4,51,799 are in home or institutional quarantine while 29,358 are in hospitals.
