Half of the population in the United States has been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, stated the White House.

The COVID-19 Data Director at White House, Dr. Cyrus Shahpar, tweeted "50% of Americans (all ages) are now fully vaccinated. Keep going!" This suggests that over 165 million individuals have either been administered two doses of Moderna or Pfizer vaccine, or the singe-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine.

The Biden administration has followed a strong approach asking all federal employees to get vaccinated or undergo COVID testing twice a week. Cities such as New York and Los Angeles have imposed new restrictions, like asking for proof of vaccination to access indoor venues, including restaurants and gyms.
