Johnson & Johnson says its vaccine booster dose evokes considerable increase in immune response

Johnson & Johnson has stated that booster doses of its single-dose COVID-19 vaccine evoked a considerable surge in antibodies.

Individuals who were administered a booster dose, six to eight months following the initial jab, had a nine-fold increase in antibodies compared to that seen 28 days after the first dose, stated the company, adding that the data has been obtained from two Phase 2 studies done in the United States and Europe. J&J stated that discussions were going on with the US Food and Drug Administration, US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, European Medicines Agency, World Health Organization and some other health authorities on the need for administering a booster dose of the vaccine… (CNN, August 25, 2021)
