20 fresh COVID cases in national capital, first COVID death in five days

Delhi recorded 20 new COVID-19 cases and one death on Monday, with the positivity rate in the city standing at 0.04%, as per data from the state health department. There had been no COVID-19 related death in the national capital in the past four days.

The low number of cases could be due to fewer tests (51,387) conducted on the previous day. The overall case tally stands at 14,37,736 in Delhi, with more than 14.12 lakh patients having been recovered from the illness. The death toll for the city stood at 25,081. This month, the city has recorded 28 deaths thus far.

On Sunday, Delhi recorded 31 cases and the positivity rate was 0.04%. Currently, the city has 375 active cases, with 88 being in home isolation. The number of containment zones in the city is 144.
