Updated data suggest that 26 states in the United States have fully vaccinated over half their residents, and the states with the highest vaccination rates have reported the lowest COVID-19 cases.

Vermont, Connecticut and Massachusetts are the three states that have fully vaccinated at least two-thirds of their residents, reveal data from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC). These states also have among the lowest fresh COVID-19 cases per capita over the previous week, stated the CDC data. However, in other places, hospitals are filling up with COVID-19 patients who have not received the vaccine.
