Delhi reported no COVID death on Tuesday, as 38 new cases were recorded at a positivity rate of 0.05%.

The city had registered 17 fresh cases, the lowest since March 28 last year, and no death on Monday, with a positivity rate of 0.04%. The national capital has reported only one COVID-related death in September thus far.

The overall case tally in Delhi stands at 14,38,288. Among these, more than 14.12 lakh patients have recovered. The overall death toll stands at 25,083.

The city has 400 active cases, increasing from 377 the previous day. A total of 98 patients are in home isolation, increasing from 97 a day ago. The number of containment zones stands at 93, an increase of one zone from the previous day.

Health infrastructure is being ramped up in the city to prevent the crisis that was seen during the peak of the second wave in April and May this year. Efforts have been made to increase the number of hospital beds to accommodate up to 37,000 cases per day and to become self-reliant with regard to oxygen supply.
