25% Indians fully vaccinated against COVID, 69% have received at least 1 dose

Around 31 states and UTs have administered at least one dose of a COVID-19 vaccine to over 60% of their adult population while 25% have received both vaccine doses.

About 69% of the adults in India have received at least one dose of a COVID vaccine. The country has administered 889 million doses thus far and the shots per 100 population has increased to 63, while the world average is 79.4. Six states and UTs have administered the first dose to 100% of their respective adult population. These include Lakshadweep, Chandigarh, Goa, Himachal Pradesh, Andaman & Nicobar Islands and Sikkim. Uttar Pradesh and Bihar are among the seven states with less than 60% coverage, the others being Jharkhand, West Bengal, Meghalaya, Nagaland and Manipur… (ET Healthworld – TNN, October 1. 2021)
