According to a study conducted in the UK, it is safe to give a COVID-19 vaccine and a flu jab at the same time and it does not have a negative effect on the immune response elicited by either of the two shots.

Led by researchers at the University of Bristol, the study noted that the side effects were often mild to moderate in assessments with three flu vaccines and either Pfizer or AstraZeneca COVID-19 jab. A total of 679 volunteers at 12 sites across England and Wales were included in the study, where one group received a COVID shot and a flu jab in the first visit, and a placebo was given in the second visit. The other group was given a COVID-19 shot and a placebo on the same day, and a flu vaccine on the second visit. Around 97% of the study participants said that they would be willing to receive two vaccines at the same appointment.
