UNICEF’s global flagship publication, titled “The State of the World’s Children 2021; On My Mind: promoting, protecting and caring for children’s mental health”, was released recently by Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya. The report highlights the significant impact of the ongoing pandemic on children’s mental health.

The event coincided with the global release of the report which aims to draw more attention to deteriorating mental health globally. Dr. Yasmin Ali Haque, UNICEF India Representative, presented some important findings of the report, stating the report noted that close to 14 % of 15- to 24-year-olds in India, which amounts to 1 in 7, reported frequently feeling depressed or having little interest in performing tasks… (ET Healthworld, October 5, 2021)
