Restrictions to be eased in Sydney next week after vaccination coverage reaches 70%

COVID-19 curbs are set to be eased in Sydney from Monday, as the city attains its 70% full vaccination target, stated authorities.

Fully vaccinated individuals in New South Wales (NSW) will be allowed to leave their homes for any reason, which includes visiting pubs, retail stores, cinemas and gyms, which are going to reopen under stringent social distancing directives. The number of vaccinated visitors allowed to gather in a house will be increased to 10, and the limit on vaccinated individuals at weddings and funerals will be 100 now. Nightclubs will be allowed to partially reopen to vaccinated people after the coverage reaches 80%. Masks will not be mandatory in offices.
