Be careful in the months of October, November, December: Govt

The Union health ministry has cautioned people that there may be a resurgence of COVID-19 during the festivals and wedding season and stated that people must be vigilant in the months of October, November and December.

The government said that the challenge of COVID was not yet over and continuous efforts are needed. Union health ministry joint secretary, Lav Agarwal, said that an average of 20,000 COVID-19 cases have been recorded every day, and 56% of these were from Kerala last week. He added that people need to be cautious, avoid crowded places and unnecessary travel, try to stay at home, celebrate festivals virtually, and try online shopping… (ET Healthworld - TIMESOFINDIA.COM, October 8, 2021)
