People vaccinated against COVID less likely to die due to any cause: Study

People who received a COVID-19 vaccine had lesser odds of dying from the virus, and also had lesser likelihood of death due to any cause over the following months, noted researchers in a study.

The researchers aimed to show that the three authorized COVID-19 vaccines are safe and state that the study clearly shows that. They stated in the weekly report of the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention that people who received the Pfizer-BioNTech, Moderna, or Janssen vaccines had lower non-COVID-19 mortality risk compared to the unvaccinated individuals. A total of 6.4 million individuals who had received COVID-19 vaccines were compared with 4.6 million people who had received flu vaccine in recent years but were not vaccinated against COVID… (CNN, October 22, 2021)
