Biological E′s Corbevax may be the next COVID-19 vaccine applying for approval, as the company is likely to submit clinical trial data of the vaccine this month, revealed people in the know.

The Central Drug Laboratory at Kasauli has passed the first few batches of the vaccine. The company is currently conducting phase-3 trials of the vaccine and has also received advance orders from the government. 

The government made an advance payment of Rs1,500 crore to the company. The funding was given to expand the capacity at the company’s Hyderabad plant. Biological MD, Mahima Datla, had said in October that the vaccine is undergoing phase-3 trials and all the studies are likely to be completed by end of November… (ET Healthworld, November 9, 2021)
