19-year-old dies in Madhya Pradesh within 48 hours of taking COVID-19 vaccine

A 19-year-old boy, Shubham Parmar, died within 48 hours of being administered the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine. He was administered the first dose at Bhanvra village in Madhya Pradesh’s Sehore district on November 6 afternoon. According to Shubham’s family, he started vomiting the next morning and was taken to a civil hospital in Ashta and was later referred to Sehore district hospital, where he died on Monday morning.

Dr. Praveer Gupta, the block medical officer of Ashta, stated that Shubham’s health was monitored as per the post-vaccination protocol, and the exact reason of death will be investigated. Man Singh, the deceased man’s father, said that doctors conducted a post-mortem at AIIMS in Bhopal, and they have informed that the report would be submitted in eight days to the concerned police station in the area.
