One in three Americans, 65 years of age and over, has received a COVID-19 booster shot, suggest data from the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).

The United States had administered 437,352,000 doses of COVID-19 vaccines as of Friday morning and had distributed 551,000,705 doses. According to the agency, 225,606,197 individuals had received at least one vaccine dose, while 194,747,839 had been fully vaccinated as of 6:00 a.m. ET on Friday. Around 27.7 million individuals have received a booster jab of either Pfizer, Moderna or Johnson & Johnson′s COVID-19 vaccines.
