AstraZeneca has stated that its antibody cocktail provided 83% protection against COVID-19 over six months. The treatment, called AZD7442, was earlier reported to offer a 77% protection against symptomatic illness after three months.

The company also stated that a separate study conducted in patients with mild-to-moderate COVID-19 demonstrated that a higher dose of the antibody cocktail reduced the risk of symptoms worsening by 88% when given within three days of symptom onset. The antibody treatment is provided as two sequential shots in the arm.
