7579 new COVID 19 cases in India, lowest in 543 days

India recorded 7579 new coronavirus infections on 23rd November 2021, raising the total tally of COVID 19 cases to 3 45 26 480, the lowest in 543 days. AS pre-data from Union health ministry, this figure was lowest since May last year. 

Meanwhile, the total number of active Covid cases comprise 0.33% of the total infections. The national recovery rate is presently 98.32%, the highest since March 2020. India’s daily positivity rate is currently 0.79%, lower than 2% for the last 50 days. 

Over 131 crore vaccine doses have been given to States/UTs through the Government of India and direct state procurement category.
