Resident doctors at Bara Hindu Rao Hospital are going to continue their strike as meetings with the management over pending salaries have been inconclusive. These doctors went on an indefinite strike from Monday as their salaries have been pending for the last two months and DA has been pending for about five months.

Dr. Tanuraj Tyagi, president of the RDA at Hindu Rao Hospital, said that in their meeting, the authorities stated that insufficient financial stability was the reason behind not providing salary. Dr. Tyagi added that only in the North Delhi civic body, the doctors have not received their DA and arrears. They have to put up a strike every year to get their salaries.

The doctors intended to hold the protest earlier this month but due to an increasing number of dengue cases, they postponed the strike.

Dr. Tyagi further stated that this does not happen with the SDMC or EDMC doctors. He added that they are left with no choice other than to put up a strike.
