COVID-19 booster shots will be made available to all adults now in France. The country will also toughen the rules on wearing face masks and boost health pass checks in order to curb a fifth COVID-19 wave.

COVID-19 cases are doubling every 11 days in the country but officials do not intend to reimpose a lockdown. Health Minister Olivier Veran stated that everyone 18 years of age and above would now be eligible for booster shots and the interval between full vaccination and booster shots would be reduced to five months from an earlier interval of six months.

The seven-day moving average of daily fresh cases was at a three-month high of 21,761 in France and is reported to have increased nearly four-fold in a month… (Reuters, November 25, 2021)
