All adults should get COVID-19 vaccine booster dose: U.S. CDC

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has said that all adults, 18 years and older, should receive a COVID-19 vaccine booster dose, as the agency gears to tackle the new highly infectious strain of coronavirus - Omicron.

Last week, the U.S. health regulators had expanded the eligibility for booster shots to all adults aged 18 years and above, either six months after the initial Pfizer or Moderna vaccine doses or two months after the Johnson & Johnson jab. 

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration could also authorize booster doses of Pfizer-BioNTech vaccine for those aged 16 and 17 years as early as next week, reported the Wall Street Journal… (Reuters, November 29, 2021)
