50% of India's adults fully vaccinated against COVID

More than fifty percent of India′s eligible adult population has now been fully vaccinated against COVID-19, stated Mansukh Mandaviya, Union Health Minister, on Sunday.

The cumulative vaccine doses administered in India has crossed 127.61 crore thus far. Union Health Ministry officials stated that more than 84.8% of the country’s adults have been administered the first vaccine dose.

A total of 1,04,18,707 vaccine doses were administered in a span of 24 hours, taking the total number of administered doses beyond 127.61 crore, as per the provisional report till 7 am on Sunday. 

The ministry stated that the milestone has been achieved through 1,32,44,514 vaccination sessions… (NDTV – PTI, December 5, 2021)
