Dr Narottam Sharma, Chief Medical Health Officer, Jaipur on Monday said that all the 9 Omicron COVID-19 variant patients in Rajasthan’s Jaipur were asymptotic and the matter was being taken seriously. They were tracking the close contacts and taking effective measures. 

Genome sequencing of the samples from 34 people of the family that came from South Africa and their contacts were done, which confirmed nine samples to be positive for Omicron variant, while the rest 25 reported negative.
