Resident doctors in Delhi resume strike: NEET-PG counselling

Delhi resident doctors from Ram Manohar Lohia, Safdarjung and Lady Hardinge hospitals, resumed their protest against the delay in NEET-PG 2021 counselling on Friday. They boycotted all services, including emergency services.

On December 9, the resident doctors had suspended the agitation, called by the Federation of Resident Doctors′ Association (FORDA), for a week after the health minister had assured them to expedite court hearing and subsequently fast-track the counselling. The resident doctors said that they had resumed the strike as the government had given false assurance and on Wednesday FORDA wrote to Union health minister Mansukh Mandaviya that they were resuming the strike.
