Doctor's house burgled: Rajkot

Burglars vandalized the house and stole 180gm gold jewellery, Rs 2.5 lakh cash and 4,800 pound, the passports of the doctor’s parents and few important documents, from the house of Dr Sejul Antala, from his third floor flat in an apartment building on Yagnik Road. The doctor was working with PDU Government Hospital and was on vacation and went out of Rajkot city with his family, when the incident took place.

On Monday, the doctor filed a complaint at Pradyuman Nagar police station. He said that after the wedding, Antala’s parents went to their native place on December 18 and the doctor with his wife went to his in-law’s place, on December 23.They had left the house keys with their cook Kusum Barad and maid Anju Vaghela who came to the house regularly for cleaning. On 27, when they came they found the house vandalized.

L L Chavda, police inspector of Pradyuman Nagar police station said that the burglars came from the terrace and entered the house by breaking one of the glass windows and one of the burglars was identified from the CCTV footage.
