DCGI Approves Emergency Use Authorization of Molnupiravir

The Drugs Controller General of India (DCGI) has given emergency use authorization to manufacture and market a generic version of MSD and Ridgeback’s Molnupiravir in India. The DCGI reviewed clinical data of Molnupiravir and based on the evidence approved Molnupiravir for treatment of adult patients with COVID-19, with SpO2>93% and who have high risk of disease progression including hospitalization or death.
