Guwahati: Motor vehicle inspector, health inspector held for taking bribe

The police arrested a motor vehicle inspector in Nagaon district and a health inspector in Kamrup for taking bribes of Rs 35,000 and Rs 5,000 respectively on Tuesday. Along with the police, the vigilance and anti-corruption sleuths identified the motor vehicles inspector as Hemen Das and the health inspector as Hitesh Deka. 

Nagaon SP Anand Mishra said that the two office assistants of Das namely Pranab Mahanta and Balwant Kaur were detained by the police in this connection.
