Biden announces new COVID initiative

U.S. President Joe Biden has announced that his administration has started a new initiative that will enable the people to get tested for COVID-19 at a pharmacy and get free pills on the spot if tested positive.

"Were launching the "Test to Treat" initiative so people can get tested at a pharmacy, and if theyre positive, receive antiviral pills on the spot, at no cost," said Biden. He stated that the United States has ordered more of the treatments as compared to any other country in the world. He further said that Pfizer is going to offer the country 1 million pills in the month of March and more than double of that in April. He added that the Pfizer pill reduces the odds of hospitalization by 90%... (Reuters, March 2, 2022)
