The Florida Department of Health plans to recommend against COVID-19 vaccination for healthy children, said the state′s top public health official, disagreeing with the guidance from the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

The CDC had recommended children to get vaccinated in November and nearly 22 million children have become fully vaccinated since. This includes 1.1 million children in Florida. However, Florida’s Surgeon General Dr. Joseph Ladapo has now said that the state will issue a separate guidance urging parents not to vaccinate their children.
