On Tuesday, doctors from Bhopal Memorial Health and Research Centre (BMHRC) and Hamidia Hospital protested by working with black ribbons.

According to sources, a patient died at BMHRC two days ago and the family members of the patient assaulted the Head of the Neurosurgery Department (HoD), Dr. Sandeep Kumar Sorte, and damaged valuable equipment. Doctors and hospital workers are irked at this incident. According to sources, Director Dr. Prabha Deshkin was out of station on the day of the incident. Doctors and hospital staff wanted to meet the director on Monday. However, the director was unavailable on Monday as well. Dr. Deshkin has written to the Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) regarding hospital security.

Meanwhile, doctors at Gandhi Medical Colleges (GMC) are upset due to the nonpayment of arrears. On Tuesday, GMC medical teachers demonstrated and worked in the hospital, including OT, wearing black ribbons over the issue. According to them, multiple memorandums have been filed, but no action has been taken so far.
