Several experts have said that the symptoms of cardiac disorders in women have become even more subtle since Covid-19, with many having sudden heart attacks with no warning indications or symptoms that are almost undetectable.

Many of these women died of cardiac arrest after contracting Covid-19 in the last 6-8 months. According to a study published in the journal "Nature Medicine," Covid survivors had a 55 percent higher risk of developing a major cardiovascular event after recovery.

A 52-year-old woman experienced minor chest pain weeks after recovering from Covid, ECG revealed she had a ′myocardial infarction with no prior signs or symptoms. In another case, a 45-year-old technologist complained of acute chest pain in the office after two months of Covid recovery and died the next day in a hospital of heart failure.

Experts believe that symptoms in women with cardiac disorders were more modest, and included pain or aching in the chest and the upper arm; unusual fast heartbeats nausea, and lethargy. Cardiomyopathy, or a dilated heart, is most common in women following menopause. However, after Covid, women are more susceptible to heart disease than males. Furthermore, high LDL cholesterol levels, smoking, inactivity, diabetes, high blood pressure, BMI, and other lifestyle variables have exacerbated the issue, increasing their risk of heart diseases.
