On the 4th anniversary of Ayushman Bharat, 1 lakh Health and Wellness Centre have launched an e-Sanjeevani Tele-consultation programme facilitating accessible consultation lines to any common citizen from the big and known doctors of the country.

On Friday, Union Health Minister Mansukh Mandaviya announced the launch of the healthcare programme on April 16, 2022, and tweeted in Hindi that these centres are a step towards realising PM Modi’s resolve of ‘Ayushman Bharat’.

On Tuesday, 12th April 2022, Mandaviya chaired a virtual meeting with health ministers and senior officials of all states and UTs to appraise the operationalisation of AB-HWCs and the teleconsultation programme. According to him, 1,17,440 AB-HWCs have been functioning across the nation against the target of 1.1 lakh citizen groups.
