TATA-backed pharma retail chain, Generic Aadhar is known for providing medicine at up to 80% off by sourcing from manufacturers to end-users directly. However, to make buying medicines easy for visually impaired people, the company added another point to its noble mission.

Arjun Deshpande, CEO of Generic Aadhar, distributed 10,000 medical pouches with names printed in braille. Visually impaired people face many challenges in their everyday life; however, one major safety concern is taking the right medicine. This novel initiative of producing reusable pouches with the name of the drugs printed in braille was received with a hearty and positive response.

These pouches can be taken to any pharmacist for a refill of the prescribed medicines and they don’t have to depend on others for their consumption.
